Tell me a little bit about yourself:
I'm married to a wonderful man and we have two beautiful daughters who have blessed us with four grandchildren. I do have a full time job at a large retail distribution center by day. Nights and week ends are when I get to play with paper!
Why did you start making your items?
I first started making greeting cards when I discovered rubber stamping. At that time (many years ago) most people had never heard of stamping. I just loved the reaction I would get from family and friends when they opened a card that I had made just for them. A personal card or hand written note are something you can hold on to and cherish. I truly enjoy making cards and have branched into other areas as well including making scrap booking embellishments, gift boxes, tags and other little art projects.
What is your inspiration?
I get inspiration from the colors of the sky, grass, sunsets and beautiful beaches. I love to shop for paper and enjoy playing with different combinations. You never know when or where inspiration will strike. I have been inspired by restaurant menus, billboards and even the envelopes bills come in. Words also inspire me as I try to convey the feeling of the quote, or phrase in my designs.
Is there anything else you would like people to know about your shop?
My goals for my shop are to strive to offer fresh new ideas and paper goods that are just a little bit out of the ordinary. Many of my cards are one of a kind creations and I'm happy to do custom orders. I can add sentiments or names to make your cards truly special.
